The Republic of Monte Cristo has its' own monetary system, the Soldo, currently valued at 2.00 USD. Paper currency is planned but currently not printed or in circulation. The Republic has minted collector coinage for the past two years (2005 and 2006) and is currently designing the 2007 coins, which we anticipate will be available in the Summer or Fall of this year. Although our beautiful 2005 coins are sold out, 2006 Soldo coins are available for purchase NOW!

We are thrilled to present the 2005 Republic of Monte Cristo 10 Soldi coin. Our recently minted silver & black nickel bimetallic coin, in BU condition, a giant 1.75 inch diameter beauty with pirate/privateer Dragut in colorized orange and blue, and a loving tribute to His Holiness, John Paull II.  Sadly this coin is now sold out. However, our new 2006 Euro coin will soon be available.
